D-Dimer is a specific marker of fibrinolysis process. The generation or increasing of D-Dimer reflects the activation of coagulation and fibrinolytic systems in vivo. The balance of coagulation and fibrinolytic systems are broken under pathological conditions,coagulation trends to strengthen and the fibrin degradation products increase, resulting in the increase of the content of D-dimer. Detecting the content of D-dimer has important clinical meaning for diagnosis, determine the efficacy and prognosis of Deep Venous Thromboembolism (DVT), Pulmonary Embolism (PE) and Thrombotic disorders, etc.
The HIGHTOP D-Dimmer along with the HIGHTOP HTY-100 PLUS Reader is a fluorescence immunoassay that quantifies the total D-Dimmer concentration in human serum/plasma.
